“Phoebe in Winter” by Jen Silverman is about how family roles and expectations. This play is takes place Elsewhere and elsewhen, after something unknown has happened. This will be displayed in the costumes through distressed, mismatched, and out of time clothing.I am pulling on western, midcentury, and euro-modern fashion to create a design language that feels familiar for the original family and not quite right for Phoebe and the returning Liam.
